Emma Ammirati
Middle Group

Middle Group (Grades 2-3)

Emma received her credential and masters from Holy Names University in Oakland, and this is her 9th year working in education. Emma attended Walden as a child, and she is excited to rejoin the community as a teacher. Her teaching philosophy is centered on anti-racist practices that provide students with the tools they need to be an active ally in their community and feel recognized for their individual creativity and passion. Her lessons include a focus on stories of joy, resistance, and resilience among the Black, Latinx, Asian, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+ and disabled communities. Outside of teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, roller skating, and going on hikes with her dog Finn.
