About fundraising at Walden:

Walden Center & School plans a variety of fundraising projects. The main beneficiary of our fundraising efforts is our financial aid program. Financial aid ensures that the Walden community reflects the economic diversity of the greater East Bay community, which in turn benefits all members of our community. For more information about fundraising at Walden, please contact our office at 510-841-7479.

Walden Center & School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our efforts are spread throughout the year and focus on three primary events as well as special projects we are actively seeking funding for:

The Annual Giving Fund

The Walden Annual Giving Fund is a fundraising campaign, which solicits donations from all current and past members of the Walden Community. Donations can be made to the Annual Giving Fund any time of year. Click on the Support Walden button the the right for online donations.

The Annual Gala Benefit and Auction

The Walden Gala Benefit is our Fall fundraising event featuring artisanal cocktails, delicious foods, a silent auction, and live music! Please contact our office at 510-841-7479 to donate to our auction.

Walden Easy Peasy Fundraising

Walden has partnered with a number of local and national businesses who want to give back to the community and support our school. Please take a look and consider these passive fundraising campaigns when you are shopping online and in person.

Spring Fair

The Walden Spring Fair is one of our major fundraisers and a tradition begun over forty years ago. Activities include a book room, a raffle, children’s games, live entertainment, and sales of arts and crafts, baked goods, food, and plants. It’s a wonderful celebration! We happily accept donations to our raffle, book sale, plant sale, andfood and beverage sales. Please contact our office at 510-841-7479 to donate.

Educational Equity Project

With the belief that an abundance of every type of diversity – including economic diversity – promotes compassion, respect for differences, and enriches our community as a whole, the Walden Foundation is actively pursuing dedicated funding for the Educational Equity Project from both foundations and individual donors.
